Fall Open House for Prospective Families
Join Greensboro Montessori School on Sunday, November 3 at 1 p.m. for a glimpse of what happens on our 10-acre campus on any given day. Explore our classrooms, meet our professional educators, talk to alumni, and watch current students independently and happily engage in their work. Experience firsthand how a Montessori education prepares students for confidence and success in their adult lives!
Families choose Greensboro Montessori School because our curriculum masterfully blends academic rigor with the development of skills necessary for a lifetime of achievement in a global society. Beginning at 18 months old, our students learn how to work and play in culturally diverse, multiage learning communities. The goal of their academic work is mastery, not test preparation, and their studies are augmented by a wide array of extracurricular programming. Our Toddlers enjoy weekly music lessons and story time, and students in our Primary division and above receive weekly lessons in environmental education, library studies, Spanish, visual art, and world music. Beginning in first grade, students also take physical education classes, and beginning in third grade, students take weekly computer science lessons.
November is a great time to visit Greensboro Montessori School in anticipation of enrolling in the fall of 2020. We have an early application deadline of January 8, 2020, which means applications received by that date will be considered early with admission notifications sent in the beginning of February where we know we have availability. If we receive more applications than we know we have open availability, we will wait until current families have completed the re-enrollment process by March 15, 2020.
