Montessori in the Home
As parents, we become accustomed to tending to our children’s every need during the first years of life. Offering assistance with dressing, feeding, and other self-help skills often feels like the most natural (and efficient!) approach to caring for our young children. However, when toddlers join a Montessori classroom, their parents are often amazed at how easily they acquire skills like washing dishes, mopping up spills, preparing food, and even tending a garden. How can we support these skills and include toddlers more fully in our routines at home?
Please join us for a special, adults-only presentation from the GMS Toddler faculty in the Library, and refreshments will be served. We’ll explore important topics such as positive guidance; toilet learning; language development; and how to implement the Montessori mindset in daily activities with your toddler. We’ll also reserve ample time for Q&A, so bring your burning questions and share in the wisdom of our toddler community.Register for Montessori in the Home
