Strategies for Effective Parenting
Greensboro Montessori School is hosting a free parenting seminar entitled Strategies for Effective Parenting on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. This workshop is an introduction to the principles of Positive Discipline and Redirecting Children’s Behavior and is designed to help parents better understand the motivations that underlie their children’s behavior. The conversation also includes specific and practical techniques for dealing with the four main causes of “misbehavior.” This approach promotes a form of discipline that is calm, firm and fair, complementing the experience your child has in their Montessori classroom. Facilitated by Joyce Ann Starks, this event will be held in Greensboro Montessori School’s Library and is open to the public. Advance registration is requested.
