- Bachelor of Science in early childhood education, Antioquia Institute of Technology
Marcela Tejada is Greensboro Montessori School’s Spanish Language Faculty dedicated to our Primary students (ages 3 to 6). Marcela is originally from Medellín, Colombia, where she taught Kindergarten for seven years. Prior to joining Greensboro Montessori School, she worked in a Spanish immersion program delivering engaging learning activities to children ages 3 to 5.
Marcela has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Tecnológico de Antioquia (the Antioquia Institute of Technology).
Marcela lays the foundation for learning Spanish for young children. Children at this age are in a sensitive period for learning language whether it is their native language or a new one, especially when it is introduced by a native speaker. All three of the Spanish faculty at Greensboro Montessori are native speakers.
