Elementary Virtual Open House

Join us for a virtual exploration of Greensboro Montessori School’s elementary programs. We’ll review our research-based, purpose-driven approach to education, followed by open dialogue with administrators. We’ll also share how we continue to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our elementary students during COVID-19.

Families choose Greensboro Montessori School because our curriculum masterfully blends academic prowess with the development of skills necessary for a lifetime of achievement in a global society. Beginning at 18 months old, our students learn how to work and play in culturally diverse, multiage learning communities. The goal of their academic work is mastery, not test preparation, and their studies are augmented by a wide array of cultural programming. Kindergartners receive weekly lessons in environmental education, Spanish, visual art, and world music. Beginning in first grade, students take additional classes in physical education, and beginning in third grade, students also receive weekly computer science lessons.

Greensboro Montessori School is accepting applications for mid-year enrollment, making our Middle School Virtual Open House a great way to learn more about our School. For families hoping to join us in the new year (January 4, 2021), our application deadline is December 1, 2020. For families hoping to join us for the 2021-22 school year, our early application deadline is January 8, 2021.

When we receive an application, our director of admission will contact the family personally, schedule a virtual student visit, and guide families through the process. Offers of admission are based upon a student’s application, family and student virtual visits, teacher interviews, class compositions, past and present recommendations from other schools, parental support, and a family’s commitment to the Montessori method.
