4th to 8th Grade Virtual Open House

Join us Thursday, July 29 at 9 a.m. for a virtual exploration of Greensboro Montessori School's in-person curriculum for students in 4th to 8th grades. We'll review our research-based, purpose-driven approach to education, followed by open dialogue with current students, faculty, and staff. We'll also share how we continue to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students during COVID-19. Click here to register.

4th to 8th graders at Greensboro Montessori School are members of our Upper School. Students' educational experience is rooted in our School’s mission: to challenge and nurture students to develop the skills and courage they need to unleash their full potential. But what exactly does this mean? It means we authentically engage each aspect of our students’ development – physical, cognitive, psychosocial - and provide them with time, space, and security to grow into the people they’re intended to be. We understand the developmental needs of preteens and adolescents and intentionally prepare our classrooms, curricula, and community around meeting these needs. This approach is in stark contrast to conventional, middle-grades learning which requires students to conform to the structure of the educational system in order to feel successful.

Greensboro Montessori School is accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year, making our 4th to 8th Grade Virtual Open House a great way to learn more about our School.

When we receive an application, our director of admission will contact the family personally, schedule a virtual student visit, and guide families through the process. Offers of admission are based upon a student's application, family and student virtual visits, teacher interviews, class compositions, past and present recommendations from other schools, parental support, and a family's commitment to the Montessori method.
