50th Anniversary Homecoming

GMS is officially 50 years old, and it's time to celebrate! Join us October 4-6 for commemorative events including a big party Saturday night, opportunities to visit the School and The Land, and the Fall Festival. Click here to let us know you're coming.

Note, Homecoming is an opportunity for us to hear from you and reconnect as a community. It is not a solicitation event, and our 50th Anniversary Party will not include any fundraising.

Alumni Campus Open House

When: Friday, October 4, 12:30 to 4 p.m.
Where: Greensboro Montessori School, 2856 Horse Pen Creek Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410
Cost: Free and kindly let us know you're coming.

Alumni Coffee at The Land

When: Saturday, October 5, 9 to 11 a.m.
Where: The Land, 5918 Pepper Rd, Oak Ridge, NC 27310
Cost: Free, and kindly let us know you're coming.

Spend the morning with us at The Land. Walk the property and tour the house. We'll have coffee – and plenty of memories – to share.

50th Anniversary Party

When: Saturday, October 5, 7 to 11 p.m.
Where: Elm & Bain, 620B S Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27406
Cost: Pay-what-you-can tickets ranging from $25 to $75. Get your tickets here.

It's time to celebrate! Join us in downtown Greensboro for our official 50th Anniversary Party for all 18+ community members. We're excited to partner with several alumni and their families in celebration of our School's rich history.

We'll gather at our gorgeous venue made possible with support from Russell & Cook Insurance.
We'll dance the night away to Kids Table, a six-piece band hailing from Washington, D.C. and featuring two alumni: Mike Weaver '12 and Andy King '14.
We'll dine and drink with the exquisite flavors of GIA Drink.Eat.Listen, a local restaurant and bar.
Dessert will feature delectable cakes donated from renowned bakery, Maxie B's.

Fall Festival

When: Sunday, October 6, 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: Greensboro Montessori School, 2856 Horse Pen Creek Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410
Cost: Free, and kindly let us know you're coming.

This fun-filled afternoon features activities for the whole family, including inflatables, tumbling, yard games, music, face painting, a cake walk, a cider press, and arts and crafts. We're also thrilled to announce that Grimsley High School's Blue Steel drumline, featuring a GMS alumni Mahinda '21, will perform for us. The Fall Festival is our biggest community celebration of the year and the perfect way to conclude our Homecoming Weekend.
