Substitute Teacher

We seek joyful, compassionate, and energetic substitute teachers for all our divisions, toddler through ninth grade. This part-time, temporary teaching position supports the vision and mission of our School by providing instant readiness to teach for varying lengths of time.

Greensboro Montessori School is a 50-year-old, toddler-through-junior-high, American Montessori Society (AMS) accredited, 280-student school. Our 63-person team of full- and part-time employees share a belief that students are filled with potential, ability, and capability, and as teachers, it is our job to nurture and challenge students so they develop the skills and courage to unleash their full potential.

If hired, you may share the age range with whom you feel most comfortable teaching. We also ask for your general availability so that we only call you to substitute on the days you tend to be available. We add all of our substitutes to an internal list from which our teachers select their own substitutes, based on preferred age level and availability.

If you are interested in substitute teaching at our School, please email a cover letter and résumé to our director of human resources consultant, Ashley Daniels, at [email protected].
