We seek a hard-working, joyful, compassionate, and energetic teachers to join our 2023 Summer Camp team. If you have a passion for working with children, are dedicated to providing the best care for students, work collaboratively, and want to learn and grow, we want you to be a part of our Summer Camp team.

Greensboro Montessori School is a 49-year-old independent school located in Greensboro, North Carolina. We are accredited by the American Montessori Society, the Southern Association of Independent Schools, and Cognia (formerly AdvancEd). With a fantastic group of 60+ faculty and staff, supportive and engaged families, a clear long-range plan, a 37-acre satellite campus, a $5.1M operating budget with a strong financial portfolio, and a fantastic board of trustees, our school is thriving. We host students from our School ages 18 months through sixth grade for exciting and nurturing summer experiences.

Summer Camp Teachers are responsible for working in a classroom environment with other faculty to create a safe and enriching summer day camp experience for students from Greensboro Montessori School. Our multiage summer classrooms are for students ages 18 months to 3 years old, 3 to 6 years old, and first through sixth grades (often divided into an older and younger group). Additional duties may include parent communication, designing student projects and experiences, writing reflections on camp experiences, and traveling to the School’s satellite, 37-acre environmental education campus. Future work during the school year as a faculty assistant or in our after-school program may be available.

This is a 9-week, part-time position working in the afternoons with an hourly wage starting at $18. We love working with undergraduate and graduate students, current and retired teachers, and all individuals with a passion for children. Previous experience working with children is preferred, along with a degree (in progress or complete) in early childhood education, psychology, education, human development, social work, or special education.
